Poetry and two sips of hot coffee.
A GIFT FROM NATURE.
"I discovered love and peace within myself.
I regarded myself as a gift from nature.
And whatever I do, I am responsible for
I love myself too much.
I took time to know me.
And what I found amazed me.
And I wanted to know more.
more, more, more, and more
I don't beat myself too hard.
I try, I do my best, and I give all I can.
All of me
And I leave the rest to you.
Responsibilities rest on my shoulders.
And I do so gracefully.
Recognizing their presence in my life
I enjoy every moment of my life.
Good and bad
I take myself on tours around the world.
Positivity and purpose are always served at
My table
I have them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
And I can't help but top it up with peace.
I am never worried about the future.
Because I know it has a whole lot
For me
I work. I sweat.
And the heavens forbid that I don't eat my fruit.
My life's not perfect.
But I am on a journey towards perfection.
And as I drive
I obey every rule on the road.
I follow every instruction.
and I hope to get there."
Dear Youuuu,
As you read this, I hope you become stronger.
NO TIME IS TOO PERFECT.
'So I was 16.
When I asked myself
What I intended to do for myself
Even my world
I was so scared and skeptical.
About what I really wanted
Then I thought
I thought so deeply.
For days,
I searched my soul, the deepest place.
My heart, the innermost room
I reviewed my pleasures.
And my checked my passions
I interpreted my dreams.
And my visions
And I found out that what I wanted
was to leave my footprints
Thick!
On the sands of the universe
What I wanted was to build a legacy for myself.
What I wanted was to inspire my world.
and leave it with a big smile of hungry satisfaction plastered on its face.
And some said
I was too young to decide
To know what I wanted
Some said I was making the wrong choices.
Some said it could wait.
But no!
I knew what I wanted.
I knew there was no perfect time.
So I had to start early.
if I was going to make it in time.
"AS INNOCENT AS A DOVE."
"Writings of fear crested on my chest.
The black ink of uncertainty revealed its depth vividly.
The strange feeling of borrowed guilt and shame
Overshadowed me
And I cried within for a course I had never taken.
A path I never took
For words that were not mine, I paid
And I paid so dearly.
Looking at all the bitter faces that stared at me
As I was led through the crowd aggressively
With "criminal" yells, renting the air
I was like a pile of vomit just sitting there.
at the central gutter
Everyone winced in disgust as they passed by.
The huge gold statue of Lady Justice greeted me.
And as I stared at it, it hurt so much that she was on
blindfolds
It hurt so much that she couldn't see.
that I was innocent,
As innocent as a dove.
My heart bled even more,
knowing that she couldn't see the tears.
The tears that poured out of my eyes profusely
"Please, lady justice." I pleaded silently.
But then, just then,
I took a deep breath and resigned to fate
I was about to be served a dinner of justice.
of whose menu I wasn't allowed to choose from
And I was served death and a plate of chicken.
MY GREATEST NIGHTMARE.
"Whenever I'm alone, I reminisce on the times you cared."
The sweet, tasty memories we shared
Picking up what's left
It's nothing but a mess.
Living with you was my greatest nightmare.
And deep down, you knew it wasn't really fair.
Me hiding in my shell
While you shove me into the den
And send me to hell.
Wishing I never knew who you were
is me not having to fear
Anything that may come nigh
till I disappear."
THE DRIVING FORCE.
"There are so many voices in my head.
Telling me stories about my ancestors
Different stories, different meanings,
Different people are all driving at nothing.
that I couldn't help but drown in confusion.
and question my true existence.
I'm wondering if my veins are filled with Ahà or sha blood.
In a strange land, I found myself
Toiling for acceptance
and begging for validation.
I had no option.
because I was lost in confusion.
With the unceasing hunger for identity
Coursing through my veins
I returned
Searching for who I was in the sands
On mud walls and in beehives
even in anthills
I searched for my identity.
because without it
I would become a chicken roaming the streets.
aimlessly in the dungeon of lions.
THE END.
Thank you so much for reading
I love you 💞.
